About Tooele County Criminal History

Tooele County criminal records are divided among the Sheriff's Office, Utah Courts, the Utah Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Identification, the Utah Department of Corrections, and the Utah Sex and Kidnap Offender Registry. We built this private reference site to make those lines of custody easier to follow and to help readers reach the official portal, counter, form, or telephone number that fits the record they need.

Why We Built This Site

Utah does not place every part of a person's history in one public name search. The Tooele County Sheriff maintains its reports, jail records, and current roster, while the Utah District and justice courts keep filed charges and dispositions. The Utah Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Identification maintains the fingerprint-supported Utah Computerized Criminal History file, but provides Right of Access only to the subject rather than an open public lookup. Corrections and registry records follow separate state channels. This site organizes official contacts, forms, fees, and access choices so readers can start with the actual custodian.

What You Will Find Here

  • Record guides: ways to search and read Tooele County criminal court cases
  • Official self-review: how BCI Right of Access and fingerprint submission work in Utah
  • Agency contacts: where to reach the sheriff, local courts, and Utah record systems
  • Record relief: how Utah expungement channels connect BCI, prosecutors, courts, and record-holding agencies

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. It is not connected to a Utah court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. Those boundaries determine what the site can provide:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot submit an expungement petition, GRAMA request, or other filing on anyone's behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that an agency has not changed a fee, address, schedule, or portal

Only the record custodian, such as the sheriff, a court, or Utah BCI, can issue an official copy. The document must come from that office.

Search Partners

Search boxes on some pages are supplied by independent providers. Each provider controls its service, prices, and returned material. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that helps support this site. We do not set the provider's charges, assemble its results, or convert those results into an official Utah or Tooele County record.
